Radamel Falcao may have found his time in England difficult but El Tigre was once one of the most feared strikers on the planet with many a defender falling prey to his incredible poaching ability.
The Colombia international has revealed that the toughest defender he ever came up against is Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos.
“Sergio Ramos is the toughest defender that I’ve faced. He is a great defender, a very complete player,” he told Goal.
Falcao also discussed the proudest moments of his career which came at the international level and for Porto and Atletico Madrid.
“Perhaps most important was the one that I scored for Colombia to qualify for the World Cup,” Falcao said.
“Also there were the goals in the finals of the Europa League with Porto and Atletico Madrid. I also like goals from scissor kicks. I remember the one with Porto and one with Atletico Madrid.”
Currently on loan at Chelsea, Falcao admits that he is still waiting for his opportunity to shine, having made 12 appearances so far for the Blues.
“I have two months training with the team and I feel in good condition. I need to have competition and to play.
“These past few months I could not have the continuity that I wanted but I’m very excited and waiting for an opportunity.”
