2016 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations: Nigeria wants to retain title

The 12th edition of the African Women Cup of Nations is set to kick off in Cameroon on saturday, amid high expectations from fans at home after the national team came second in the last tournament won by Nigeria in Namibia in 2014.

Defending champions Nigeria will begin their title defence in Group B against Mali on November 20 at the Stade Municipal de Limbe, Limbe.

The Super Falcons have won seven of the last nine editions of the final tournament.

They are housed in Group B with perennial rivals, Ghana as well as Mali and Kenya.
