Jubilant fans welcome European champions Portugal home

Thousands of fans have lined the streets of the Portuguese capital Lisbon to greet their returning football heroes, who beat France 1-0 in the final of Euro 2016.

 

When the team’s plane touched down in Portugal, it was met by coloured water in the red and green colours of the Portugal flag and worn by the national side.
