Rather than your standard images of Liverpool’s potential new strip, the folks at Footy Headlines have managed to get hold of what may well end up being the historic club’s new crest & logo:

It seems the potential new home kit will feature a darker shade of red than in the last few years, surely a response to the fact the famous British side is set to celebrate its 125th anniversary this year – Liverpool was founded on March 15, 1982.

The club are planning to highlight this colossal achievement with a ceremony in April, via the unveiling of an official 125th anniversary crest, alongside the release of next season’s much-anticipated home kit.

The crest is expected to be based on the five-time European Cup winners’ first ever club crest, itself derived from the Liverpool coat of arms.
