Gareth Southgate calls on the FA to sort his England contract out

Southgate’s four-game trial as interim boss ends with a friendly against Spain tomorrow at Wembley.

The 46-year-old is expected to be given the job full-time, with bookies offering odds as short 1-10 on him being appointed following Friday’s 3-0 World Cup qualifying win over Scotland.

But Southgate wants to know where he stands by the end of the month and said: “It would be important for me to know what I’m doing after the middle of November.
