Manchester City and Arsenal follow closely behind in third and fourth on 24 points, with Tottenham and Manchester United battling to break into the Champions League slots.
Sunderland are rooted to the bottom of the table. They have had the worst start to a Premier League season in history, yet are only behind Swansea on goal difference. Both sides sit on five points.
