The Falconets of Nigeria on Wednesday recorded their first win in the on going under 20 Women’s World Cup competition after they came from a goal down to win 3-1 against Canada.
The team was thrashed 6-0 in their opening game against Japan on Sunday, November 13.
In their second game, however, the Falconets kept their World Cup hopes alive with a 3-1 win over Canada courtesy of goals from Chinasa Uchendu, Joy Bokiri and Chinwendu Ihezuo.
Nigeria must beat Spain in their last group game if they want to stand a chance of qualifying from the group stage.
